Javier is a musculoskeletal Physiotherapist specialised in sports conditioning, injury management, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
He graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) Honours from Curtin University in 2019 and previously honed his skills at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, where he practiced as a Sports Physiotherapist and an Emergency Department Physiotherapist. To help maximize his patients’ rehabilitation journey, he also conducted exercise classes for patients aiming to return from injury to performance. Besides his clinical experience, Javier is also a NSCA-Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and draws from his many years of experience as an athlete, having competed in various sports, including dragon boat, bowling, and football, allowing him to tailor his rehabilitation plan according to the individual’s specific needs.
In addition to his clinical work, Javier also previously served as the Assistant Unit Head to TTSH’s Musculoskeletal-Orthopaedics and was a clinical educator and mentor to junior clinicians and Physiotherapy students.
When he’s not working, Javier is either trying to deadlift heavier, brew better coffee or is serving as a mentor on the National Youth Council’s Discover platform.
